Babyfather wants our children to live with him

It can be hard when both parents want what’s best for their children but have different ideas about where they should live. Instead of turning it into a fight, try to focus on what will truly help the children grow up happy, healthy, and supported. Their needs should come before anyone’s pride.

Have an honest conversation with your children’s father. Talk about school, home life, finances, and who can best meet the children’s daily needs. If you can’t agree, a family counselor or the court may be able to help make a decision based on the children’s best interests.

No matter where the children live, they usually benefit from having loving relationships with both parents, as long as it’s safe. Work together whenever possible so your children know they are loved by both of you.
