Lost my virginity on a double date

Double dates are supposed to be for getting pizza or going to the movies, not for… that. It sounds like there was a lot of peer pressure going on, which is super lame. People think they have to do stuff because everyone else in the room is doing it, but that’s honestly the worst reason to do anything. I hope you at least liked the person.

Don’t let anyone make you feel bad about how it happened. It’s done now, and there’s no going back, so beating yourself up over it is just a waste of time. Maybe it wasn’t the romantic fairy tale you see in movies, but real life is messy sometimes. The only thing that matters is how you feel about it now and what you do next.

For the future, maybe make sure you’re in a private, comfortable place where you don’t feel rushed by other people.
